LONDON – March 22, 2023 – Financial services strategic communications agency, Vested, has expanded its leadership team following another year of growth. Katie Spreadbury has been promoted to UK CEO and David Simpson joins from Cognito as Managing Director, Creative and Marketing Services. The news follows the promotion of Danny Calogero to Managing Director in late 2023.
Vested was founded in New York in 2015 before launching in London in 2018, with the vision of creating a world in which people have a better understanding of, and relationship with, financial services. The business has grown to represent some of the world’s leading financial services brands and market challengers.
Katie Spreadbury joined Vested as it launched in the UK, rising from Director to Managing Director before becoming appointed UK CEO and is an advisory board member of Be the Board. Katie spent her earlier career at Four Communications, where she latterly ran its financial services practice having joined through its acquisition of Consolidated PR. In her new role she will be responsible for UK growth and delivery, reporting to EMEA CEO Elspeth Rothwell.
David Simpson joins as Managing Director, Marketing and Creative Services, from Cognito, where he has spent four years leading on client brand strategy and digital activations, having previously run his own digital marketing agency. In a newly created role for Vested, he will be responsible for the international evolution of its marketing and creative services proposition based out of London.
