In Why the 1980s recession haunts the Fed, Ezrati was quoted as saying, “In the 1980s, inflation and inflation expectations had over 10 years to build and embed themselves into economic thinking at every level.” He also discussed the Fed’s current approach to rate hikes in the face of today’s inflationary environment.
