BANKING
Rebundeling the bank
After the 2008 financial crisis, fintechs did an outstanding job of appealing to what many Americans were craving: low commitment and anti-institution. Young people once guided by their parents’ bank choices were turning to simple, one-off solutions for savings, checkings and investing; a true unbundling of the vertically integrated banks we once knew. Now, the pendulum has swung the other way. There seems to be a craving for tradition among consumers, and a fight for share of wallets among fintechs. The bank is getting back together.
Institutional and fintech banks are faced with the same problem: how do they rebuild that structure? Recreating a business–and thus, a story–that sticks with a person on their financial life journey isn’t easy. But Vested is up for the challenge.
Having worked with some of the biggest names in the space like Citi and Morgan Stanley, combined with its vast experience in fintech, Vested understands the ins and outs of both; and knows how to tailor the narratives for each to best resonate with their respective audiences.
