Celebrating Women in Finance: An Inspiring Evening of Connection and Conversation
Last week, Vested hosted an unforgettable Women in Finance event, bringing together senior women across the finance industry for an intimate dinner and insightful conversation. As International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month come to an end, I am reminded of the power that emerges when you gather a diverse group of female leaders to share ideas, perspectives, and support.
We were thrilled to welcome Cheryl Geremia of TD Bank and Co-President of The Women’s Bond Club, who shared the importance of this long-standing organization and why initiatives like these still matter today. Cheryl’s words resonated with the room, reinforcing the value of fostering strong networks and support for women in finance.
Throughout the evening, we explored a range of topics, from the challenges of balancing professional and personal responsibilities – whether that means managing careers while caring for children, elderly parents, or both – to the ongoing discussions around DEI initiatives. It’s clear that companies are navigating this change both internally and externally, and it was inspiring to hear how leaders are shaping those conversations.
We also touched on the critical importance of financial independence, wealth management planning, and empowering women-owned businesses. These conversations reinforced the need to equip women with the tools and knowledge to build financial security and lasting success.
For me, the evening was not just about the conversations but the connections – catching up with long-time industry friends, meeting new trailblazers, and feeling a deep sense of community among women who are leading the way in finance. As we close out Women’s History Month, I left the dinner reflecting on the many women who paved the way for us. Their legacy inspires us to continue pushing for progress and creating opportunities for future generations of female leaders.
At Vested, we believe in fostering these connections and conversations. Bringing women together in this way strengthens our community and reminds us that we are not alone in our challenges or our triumphs. We look forward to hosting more of these gatherings and continuing to support women in finance and beyond.
